Maria Antonietta Ferrara received an M.S. degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Naples Federico II, Italy, in 2003 and a Ph.D. degree in Electronic Engineering with a thesis from the University “Mediterranea” of Reggio Calabria, Italy, in 2008. Since 2008, she has been a postdoctoral fellow at the Institute for Microelectronics and Microsystems, Naples, where she has carried out research with the themes of “advanced optoelectronic devices and integrated sources based on nonlinear Raman scattering” and “non-contact optical characterization based on interferometric techniques”. In 2012, she became a researcher at the Institute for Microelectronics and Microsystems, and since 2019, she has been affiliated with the Institute of Applied Sciences and Intelligent Systems of the National Research Council of Italy. Her research interests are in the fields of digital holography, volume holographic optical elements, nonlinear optics, and coherent Raman spectroscopy and microscopy. She is the author of more than 90 peer-reviewed scientific papers published in indexed journals, five book chapters, and is the holder of several patents.
