Coastal flooding is a natural disaster that often occurs in coastal areas. Jakarta is an example of a location that is highly vulnerable to coastal flooding. Coastal flooding can result in economic and human life losses. Thus, there is a need for a coastal flooding early warning system in vulnerable locations to reduce the threat to the community and strengthen its resilience to coastal flooding disasters. This study aimed to measure the level of public acceptance toward the development of a coastal flooding early warning system of people who live in a coastal region in Jakarta. This knowledge is essential to ensure that the early warning system can be implemented successfully. A survey was conducted by distributing questionnaires to people in the coastal areas of Jakarta. The questionnaire results were analyzed using cross-tabulation and path analysis based on the variables of knowledge, perceptions, and community attitudes towards the development of a coastal flooding early warning system. The survey result shows that the level of public acceptance is excellent, as proven by the average score of the respondents’ attitude by 4.15 in agreeing with the establishment of an early warning system to manage coastal flooding. Thus, path analysis shows that knowledge and perception have a weak relationship with community attitudes when responding to the coastal flooding early warning model. The results show that only 23% of the community’s responses toward the coastal flooding early warning model can be explained by the community’s knowledge and perceptions. This research is expected to be useful in implementing a coastal flooding early warning system by considering the level of public acceptance.

Environmental education during a pandemic is something that must be focused especially on natural disasters. One of the skills needed to solve natural disasters is Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). The purpose of this study was to describe student HOTS to develop a Disaster Mitigation of Flood based on the Online Learning (DIFMOL) model. The research method used descriptive with data collection techniques using surveys. The results showed that the student’s HOTS score was still in the very low category (33.09). This makes DIFMOL need to be developed for students, especially in aspects related to HOTS, which are still weak for aspects of flood disasters. Environmental education innovation is important to improve students’ ability to overcome environmental problems. DIFMOL in this case, acts as an environmental education innovation related to the disaster that can be developed. This study concludes that students’ HOTS scores are still in the very low category and need improvement. DIFMOL is suggested to be developed in the next research.

The construction industry has significant environmental, social, and economic impacts on the community. As one of the main results of the construction industry, buildings largely reflect this during the transition cycle. Both positive and negative negatives. The negative impacts of buildings and construction activities also disrupt human activities themselves, such as discussing, dust, traffic congestion, air pollution, and waste disposal during construction. After completion, the building continues with the surrounding environment. It needs appropriate technological innovation assistance to overcome the difficulties of building these buildings. The method of this study a qualitative approach by reviewing and synthesizing journals related to Sustainable Urban Development. The role of Sustainable Urban Buildings using renewable technology is necessary to overcome these development problems so that they no longer have negative impacts on humans and their environment. Therefore, Sustainable City Buildings if developed using environmentally friendly technology, will make city buildings efficient and effective for reducing carbon emissions that exist every day.

Housing is a basic human need, but the Government has not been able to fully provide decent shelter for the community. Governments have an obligation to provide access to adequate housing communities, livable, prosperous, cultured, and social justice. This study aimed to analyze the sustainability of the environmental infrastructure of low cost rental apartment (rusunawa) in Jakarta. To determine the condition of exixting low cost rental apartment in Jakarta, this study was conducted in five locations of Rusunawa. The sustainability of infrastructure environmental methods included Focus Group Discussion and Multi-Dimensional Scaling (MDS) approach using RAPFISH techniques program. An index value of sustainability infrastructure in rusunawa Jakarta is obtained based on an assessment of 29 attributes included into four (4) dimensions of infrastructure facilities (8 attributes), sociocultural (7 attributes), perception (7 attributes) and management (7 attributes). The results of multidimensional analysis produce an index value of sustainability infrastructure of rusunawa is 47.275. This value reflects that the existence of infrastructure of rusunawa in Jakarta is sustainable less. This research can be used as the basis for improvement of aspects that have not been sustained and become a model for other Rusunawa management.

High economic growth in the city was not balanced with adequate infrastructure provision. Northern Jakarta has been a tangible example of how the development of the city had ignored the environmental conditions, this region has been developed into a very dense and slums areas, and compounded with a huge problem of the exceeding of environment carrying capacity. A massive development of coastal reclamation at north of Jakarta could be used as a model of development based on ecological approach. This study is aiming to examine the concept of sustainable urban infrastructure at coastal reclamation of North Jakarta, which is an approach that integrates urban development components namely city community capital, the city infrastructure needs and ecological city components. To analyze the relationship between these components, this research was carried out by Structural Equation Model (SEM) which is multivariate analysis that analyzes the relationship between complex and simultaneous variables. The application of sustainable urban infrastructure model was done by Goodness of Fit Index (GOFI) value indicators to see how the data support the model on on total of 147 survey respondents. The indicators for each of these six models showed a good fit to ecological city theory, with chi-square of 3.60, df of 4 p-value of 0.45306, and root mean square error of approximation (RMSEA) below 0.08. Latent variable Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) test showed very good match, model is saturated/perfect fit. Therefore, it can be stated that the data strongly support a model for the latent variables. This model of sustainable urban infrastructure in coastal reclamation can be applied to overcome the problems of urban sustainable development
