With the evolution of information technology, the use of internet of things has increased. It affects several areas such as medical field, smart cities, and information systems. In this work, we will use this technological development in the context of health, particularly e-health. We present a platform based on IoMT to allow the monitoring of patient’s health. To meet the constraint of medical secrecy and confidentiality of information, we will use the Blockchain as a secure system. Our system will use the data collected by several smart sensors such as blood pressure, SPO2 concentration, and EEG signals. These encrypted data will be collected by an embedded Raspberry PI 4 platform (working as a smart data relay) before being processed (on a backend server) and then saved in an embedded Blockchain node. The preliminary results show the effectiveness of the proposed platform as a candidate of a low-cost example of secured Electronic Health Record (EHR).

Rapid expansion of the world’s population has negatively impacted the environment, notably water quality. As a result, water-quality prediction has arisen as a hot issue during the last decade. Existing techniques fall short in terms of good accuracy. Furthermore, presently, the dataset available for analysis contains missing values; these missing values have a significant effect on the performance of the classifiers. An automated system for water-quality prediction that deals with the missing values efficiently and achieves good accuracy for water-quality prediction is proposed in this study. To handle the accuracy problem, this study makes use of the stacked ensemble H2O AutoML model; to handle the missing values, this study makes use of the KNN imputer. Moreover, the performance of the proposed system is compared to that of seven machine learning algorithms. Experiments are performed in two scenarios: removing missing values and using the KNN imputer. The contribution of each feature regarding prediction is explained using SHAP (SHapley Additive exPlanations). Results reveal that the proposed stacked model outperforms other models with 97% accuracy, 96% precision, 99% recall, and 98% F1-score for water-quality prediction.

Considering Underwater Wireless Sensor Networks (UWSNs) have limited power resources (low bandwidth, long propagation delays, and non-rechargeable batteries), it is critical that they develop solutions to reduce power usage. Clustering is one solution because it not only saves energy consumption but also improves scalability and data integrity. The design of UWSNs is vital to the development of clustering algorithms. The limited energy of sensor nodes, narrow transmission bandwidth, and unpredictable topology of mobile Underwater Acoustic Wireless Sensor Networks (UAWSNs) make it challenging to build an effective and dependable underwater communication network. Despite its success in data dependability, the acoustic underwater communication channel consumes the greatest energy at a node. Recharging and replacing a submerged node’s battery could be prohibitively expensive. We propose a network architecture called Member Nodes Supported Cluster-Based Routing Protocol (MNS-CBRP) to achieve consistent information transfer speeds by using the network’s member nodes. As a result, we use clusters, which are produced by dividing the network’s space into many minute circular sections. Following that, a Cluster Head (CH) node is chosen for each circle. Despite the fact that the source nodes are randomly spread, all of the cluster heads are linked to the circle’s focal point. It is the responsibility of the MNS-CBRP source nodes to communicate the discovered information to the CH. The discovered data will then be sent to the CH that follows it, and so on, until all data packets have been transferred to the surface sinks. We tested our techniques thoroughly using QualNet Simulator to determine their viability.

The purpose of this research is to provide power grid energy efficiency solutions. In this paper, a comprehensive review and its optimal solution is proposed considering the various challenges of smart grid demand-side management. The main technique is based on a novel idea in the Smart Grid—demand response optimization which enables autonomous energy management on the demand side for a wide variety of customers. The first section of this research examines the smart grid issue and evaluates the state-of-the-art load management techniques in terms of the work’s scope. The demand-side load management architecture consists of three primary levels, two of them in line planning and low-cost scheduling, while the third layer, demand response which is a significant expansion of this domain. The implementation of the proposed architecture in MATLAB/Simulink, with test results. demonstrating the significance of the proposed solution

A lung nodule is a tiny growth that develops in the lung. Non-cancerous nodules do not spread to other sections of the body. Malignant nodules can spread rapidly. One of the numerous dangerous kinds of cancer is lung cancer. It is responsible for taking the lives of millions of individuals each year. It is necessary to have a highly efficient technology capable of analyzing the nodule in the pre-cancerous phases of the disease. However, it is still difficult to detect nodules in CT scan data, which is an issue that has to be overcome if the following treatment is going to be effective. CT scans have been used for several years to diagnose nodules for future therapy. The radiologist can make a mistake while determining the nodule’s presence and size. There is room for error in this process. Radiologists will compare and analyze the images obtained from the CT scan to ascertain the nodule’s location and current status. It is necessary to have a dependable system that can locate the nodule in the CT scan images and provide radiologists with an automated report analysis that is easy to comprehend. In this study, we created and evaluated an algorithm that can identify a nodule by comparing multiple photos. This gives the radiologist additional data to work with in diagnosing cancer in its earliest stages in the nodule. In addition to accuracy, various characteristics were assessed during the performance assessment process. The final CNN algorithm has 84.8% accuracy, 90.47% precision, and 90.64% specificity. These numbers are all relatively close to one another. As a result, one may argue that CNN is capable of minimizing the number of false positives through in-depth training that is performed frequently.

In Tunisia, one of the major problems of the olive oil industry is marketing. Several factors have an impact, such as quality, originality, lobbying, subsidies and the certification of extra virgin olive oil. The major problem remains the traceability of the production process to guarantee the origin of the food at all times. This fine-grained traceability can be achieved by applying Blockchain technologies. Blockchain can be used as a solution that could bring visibility to the oil supply chain. It is proposed in order to guarantee the veracity of the product information at different stages. In this paper, a multi-Blockchain, multi-sensor traceability system using IoT will be presented. Two Blockchains that can be programmed via Smart Contract will be used. The first one is Quorum, which is a private Blockchain used by the actors of our system, and the second one is Ethereum, which is public and connects the different actors who have access to our system. This smart contract allows us to conta our system to track the olive oil manufacturing process from the farmer, through the oil mill, the transporter and the quality controller to the customer. A general approach for managing the olive oil supply chain is presented. This approach offers the possibility for the system to be configurable. It is based on smart contracts and applications that interact with the same smart contracts. The IoT is used to configure sensors. These sensors are the source of data for the supply chain process. These sensors are connected to the embedded platforms that host Quorum.
