Due to the growth of sensor technology, more affordable integrated circuits, and connectivity technologies, the usage of wearable equipment and sensing devices for monitoring physical activities, whether for wellness, sports monitoring, or medical rehabilitation, has exploded. The current literature review was performed between October 2022 and February 2023 using PubMed, Web of Science, and Scopus in accordance with P.R.I.S.M.A. criteria. The screening phase resulted in the exclusion of 69 articles that did not fit the themes developed in all subchapters of the study, 41 articles that dealt exclusively with rehabilitation and orthopaedics, 28 articles whose abstracts were not visible, and 10 articles that dealt exclusively with other sensor-based devices and not medical ones; the inclusion phase resulted in the inclusion of 111 articles. Patients who utilise sensor-based devices have several advantages due to rehabilitating a missing component, which marks the accomplishment of a fundamental goal within the rehabilitation program. As technology moves faster and faster forward, the field of medical rehabilitation has to adapt to the time we live in by using technology and intelligent devices. This means changing every part of rehabilitation and finding the most valuable and helpful gadgets that can be used to regain lost functions, keep people healthy, or prevent diseases.

Sustainability in higher education has become a focal point of global discourse, reflecting the strategic role universities play in addressing environmental, social, and economic challenges. This study explores recent advancements in sustainable and green university practices through a comprehensive bibliometric and thematic analysis of Web of Science articles published between 2020 and 2024. While previous research often examines sustainability practices in isolation, a clear understanding of how digital technologies, institutional leadership, and stakeholder engagement interconnect to drive sustainability remains underdeveloped. This study addresses this gap by integrating bibliometric mapping with thematic analysis, providing a holistic view of the evolving landscape. Emerging themes include the role of digital technologies in enhancing operational efficiency and fostering inclusivity, as well as the increasing reliance on standardized metrics to measure progress. By bridging theoretical insights with actionable strategies, this research contributes to advancing sustainability in higher education, offering a roadmap for institutions to align their practices with global sustainability goals.

Important in testing services in medical laboratories is the creation of a flexible balance between quality-response time and minimizing the cost of the service. Beyond the different Lean methods implemented so far in the medical sector, each company can adapt the model according to its needs, each company has its own specifics and organizational culture, and Lean implementation will have a unique approach. Therefore, this paper aims to identify the concerns of specialists and laboratory medical services sector initiatives in optimizing medical services by implementing the Lean Six Sigma method in its various variants: a comparative analysis of the implemented models, with emphasis on measuring externalities and delimiting trends in reforming/modernizing the method, a comprehensive approach to the impact of this method implementation, and an analysis of available databases in order to underline the deficit and information asymmetry. The results highlighted that in the case of clinical laboratories, the Lean Six Sigma method is conducive to a reduction of cases of diagnostic errors and saves time but also faces challenges and employees’ resistance in implementation.

The cement-based mixture market or dry mix for the ETICS (External Thermal Insulation Composite System) is a highly competitive market and it is becoming increasingly difficult to comply with European sustainability specifications such as the development of products with a lower carbon footprint, lighter and less energy-intensive materials, lower environmental impacts, the option of recycling, etc. This market plays a highly important role in the construction sector, not only for the technical solutions and green innovation it offers but also for the aesthetic aspects. Since 2005, this market has been growing by more than 20% per year, which makes it increasingly attractive with better opportunities. However, this increase has been reduced not only by the crisis of 2007–2008 but also by the pandemic of recent years. The use of cement type CEM II, 42.5R, B-LL, together with a modified RDP ratio, has visibly improved the properties of the thermal insulation system through the adhesion of the EPS boards, the modulus of elasticity, wear resistance, flexibility, and impact resistance. Our research results as green innovation products are above the minimum values agreed by the ETICS standards; in addition, this product has in its formulation a 30% lower carbon footprint compared to any other adhesive in the construction market applied for ETICS systems; therefore, we are talking about a sustainable and clean product, suitable for rehabilitations and ecological constructions adjusted to the European policies of carbon footprint reduction.

Functionally graded materials (FGMs) are a class of advanced materials characterized by spatially varying properties, offering significant advantages in aerospace, automotive, and biomedical industries. The integration of additive manufacturing (AM) has revolutionized the fabrication of FGMs, enabling precise control over material gradients and complex geometries. This review presents a comprehensive bibliometric and content analysis of 3D-printed FGMs, focusing on materials, processing techniques, mechanical properties, and application trends. The findings highlight the growing research interest in FGMs since 2016, with a peak in 2021, and the dominant contributions from the USA and China. Key research trends include advancements in selective laser melting and direct energy deposition techniques, which have enhanced mechanical performance by improving wear resistance, tensile strength, and elasticity. Despite these advancements, challenges such as residual stresses, interfacial bonding weaknesses, and material anisotropy persist. Future research should focus on optimizing AM processes to enhance material homogeneity, developing eco-friendly materials to align with sustainability goals, and establishing standardized testing methods for FGMs to ensure their reliability in industrial applications.

The actual pandemic context highlighted once again the huge importance of agriculture in the society and create a path to a speeded-up digitalization. As soon as the virus crisis will end, countries will start reprioritizing their values and do investments accordingly; agriculture will regain focus. In order to get an overview image on the challenges and farmers needs in agriculture in the context of digitalization, a questionnaire-based research was made, collecting data from Romanian experienced farmers and business experts in agriculture.
