Dr. Christian Bräuer-Burchardt received his diploma in mathematics in 1992. He has been working as a developer of image processing algorithms in medical research, architectural photogrammetry, and 3D measurement systems based on fringe projection. He received his PhD in 2001 at the Friedrich Schiller University Jena. Since 2003 he has been with the Fraunhofer Institute of Applied Optics and Precision Engineering Jena. His main working fields are image processing, computer vision, camera modeling, and camera calibration. He has broad experiences in the development of contactless optical 3D measurement systems, especially for application under challenging environmental conditions.
