Information

Federico Tasca studied for his MSc at the University of Padua, Italy. During his master's studies, he started to be interested in the development of biosensors and biofuel cells and continued with his PhD studies at the University of Lund, Sweden, under the supervision of Dr. Lo Gorton. He was a visiting researcher at the School of Chemistry of the New South Wales University, Australia, under the supervision of Dr. Justin Gooding and Post-Doc at Stanford University, CA, under the supervision of Dr. Edward Solomon. Following that, he started to collaborate with Dr. Zagal at the University of Santiago of Chile where he was then appointed Associate Professor. Dr. Tasca is the IP of Fondecyt Projects and of COPEC-UC projects for the development of catalysts for the oxygen reduction reaction. He is the co-researcher of other Fondecyt Project aiming at the development of metal-organic frameworks. He also interested in the study of redox enzymes for important reactions regarding energy conversion and biosensor development. Dr. Tasca is the main author of more than 40 papers and has collaborated with several others.
