Assoc. Prof. Chien-Fu Chen is a faculty member at the Institute of Applied Mechanics at National Taiwan University in Taiwan. He obtained his Ph.D. from the Institute of Applied Mechanics at National Taiwan University in 2007. He then undertook his postdoctoral research at the University of Maryland, College Park from 2007 to 2011. He received the Youth Scholar Grant Award (2018), and Futuretech Award (2019, 2020) from the Ministry of Science and Technology, Taiwan. Dr. Chen’s research focuses on miniaturized and integrated systems for biomedical and environmental sensing applications based on affordability, sensitivity, specificity, user-friendliness, and rapid and portability features. His work has been reported in the ACS Headline Science, PressPac, and C&EN, as well as in the ACS Headline Science, PressPac, and C&EN.
