Progress in semiconductor technology in recent decades has been continuously innovative regarding renewable application. This paper presents fluctuationless output and increased energy captured by a permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG) based variable speed wind turbine system (VSWTS) through a composite action of peak power tracking (PPT) controllers in a closed-loop control of turbine speed and boost converter. Though the sensorless control of tip speed ratio (TSR) is preferred at most, incorporation of the high-speed digitized wind gauge replaces the complexity in the closed-loop drive of the turbine generator. The proposed concept includes control over solid-state converters (SSC) to eliminate switched-mode harmonics and thus DC link voltage is maintained at all levels. Fluctuations on the load side can be eliminated with a pulse width modulation (PWM) inverter. The circuit simulation proclaims PMSG voltage and boost voltage for different wind velocities to ensure real power control through optimal wind turbine speed and reactive power control through stabilized output voltage. Our investigation was performed on a 0.5 kW wind turbine generator and converter module to ensure the synchronized reactive power control at both SSC stages. Comparative test results were taken pertaining to the above discussion, which validates the performance of the proposed system in its typical area of application.
The ever-increasing demand for conventional energy sources has driven society toward more research and development in alternate energy resources and the importance of a sustainable environment. Among renewable resources, wind energy plays a prominent role as a source of electrical energy and has emerged as one of the leading green energy technologies with an annual average growth rate of 30 % across the globe. Though the impact has a clear vision when compared to previous decades, its aftereffect concerning the quantity and quality of power output receives a significant amount of interest on the wind energy scenario. This article presents an advanced control strategy to extract possible peak power and to explore fluctuation as less controlled output for a permanent magnet synchronous generator–based variable-speed wind turbine system through adaptive peak power tracking controllers. A substantial voltage of ripple magnitude is derived to suppress the double line frequency ripples that exist between the dc-dc and dc-ac converters. The significant harmonic disorders are analyzed using Fast Fourier Transformation, and the elimination of the same is ensured by introducing appropriate harmonic trap filters. The output power is exercised accordingly with the help of a standalone energy storage unit and thereby power management is performed for the proposal. The control strategy ensures the appropriate selection of power source selection controllers, and the analysis reveals the prominent working of a standalone energy storage system in the typical area of requirements. The experimental validation is made with the prototype model from the laboratory experimentation, which is identical to the simulation platform.

The prescribed algorithm for removing impulse noise effectively even under high noise densities without causing any loss of image details. Hence a cascaded section of median filters that, involves an Decision-based Median Filter followed by a Recursive Weighted Median (RWM) Filter employing exponential weights are used. The median controlled algorithm is employed to calculate the exponential weights. In the algorithms that where proposed in earlier which involves a cascaded section of the median with the RWM filters provided lesser Peak Signal/Noise Ratio (PSNR) and greater Mean Square Error(MSE) values. Hence the output appeared to be distorted for higher noise levels. These drawbacks have been eliminated in this proposed algorithm.
