Information

Dr. Helmut Reinecke is research scientist at the Institute of Science and Technology of Polymers of CSIC in Madrid. He obtained his Ph.D. in Macromolecular Science at the University of Freiburg (Germany). He co-leads a team of about 10 researchers who are experts in the preparation of polymer materials and their precursors. The team aims to provide technological and/or biomedical solutions to specific issues, such as non-migrating PVC additives, surface modification, surface structuring, water catalysis methods, effective vectors in gene therapy, competitive carriers in cell manipulation, preparation of polymer–drug conjugates, etc. His desire to transfer knowledge to society is reflected in the co-founding of two companies, Releasycell S.L. and iFABCell S.L. (created in April 2023), and he is an intellectual co-owner of 10 patents, which involved collaborations with companies and teaching at different universities.
