Nowadays, technical and technological development is subject to many new concepts and challenges, such as sustainable development, smart city and electromobility. In order to improve the flow of people through cities, it is necessary to skillfully implement various types of solutions and tools. The article presents the essence and importance of information in urban transport. The considerations focus mainly on selected mobile applications, which are designed to provide travelers with information about traveling by public transport in Poland. Various classifications distinguishing information mobile applications in urban transport have been presented. The empirical part of the article presents the division into two groups of these tools, namely applications whose main functionality is the possibility of purchasing a ticket and planning the route. In the comparative analysis of mobile information applications in urban transport, parameters such as geographical coverage, payment, the need to log in and additional functionalities were taken into account.

In view of the significant differences between the socio-economic regions, the level of development of transport is not homogenous. According to Tobler’s law (1970) we can point out that all objects are related to each other, but the ones located closer are more dependent on each other than those farther away. Then we can identify the occurrence of spatial autocorrelation. For example, the European regions can assess whether the border regions of different countries show a similarity to each other. The main purpose of this article is to assess and analyze the occurrence of spatial autocorrelation in connection with the transport accessibility (measured by density of a motorway network). The general hypothesis is: between European regions, there is a positive spatial autocorrelation in connection with the problems of transport accessibility. Research subjects are selected European regions at NUTS level 2. To evaluate the occurrence of spatial autocorrelation the classic Moran I statistic has been used.

The development of transport infrastructure and increasing the efficiency of transport services are major factors of economic growth. The concept of transport accessibility can be analysed in various aspects. This article focuses on the accessibility of freight transport by road and rail, measured with infrastructure equipment. The primary objective of this study is to determine the efficiency of selected European countries in 2000, 2005 and 2010 in terms of transport accessibility for given expenditures and results. The efficiency will be measured with the Data Envelopment Analysis, which assesses the efficiency with which a given economy transforms expenditures into results. The hypothesis assumes the existence of differences between the efficiency in terms of transport accessibility in European countries and a possibility to increase this efficiency by using the experience of countries with a high efficiency level.

Growth in online sales results in an increase in the number of containers remaining in economic circulation, causing both economic (increased costs of container production, storage and disposal) and environmental effects. One way to reduce the scale of this problem would be to introduce reusable packaging, which enterprises could use as part of their e-commerce solutions. The question remains, however, whether the customers are ready for this. What is their opinion on implementing such a solution? Would they be willing to pay a deposit for using such containers? This paper aims to suggest individual returnable packaging solutions that can be used in e-commerce to manifest corporate social responsibility and reflect customer attitudes towards them. The paper is empirical, with the empirical part presenting the results of the author's study.

W obliczu rosnącej presji ekologicznej i zmian w globalnych łańcuchach dostaw, przedsiębiorstwa muszą dostosować swoje strategie logistyczne, aby zminimalizować wpływ na środowisko i jednocześnie zachować konkurencyjność.
