Mr Dejan Vasović received his B.S., M.S., and PhD degrees in Environmental Protection Engineering from the University of Niš, Faculty of Occupational Safety, Niš, Serbia, in 2006, 2011, and 2016, respectively. Starting from 2007, he began his professional career as a scholar researcher, to be engaged as an assistant in 2008. Since 2017, he has worked as an Assistant Professor and in 2022 he was promoted to the title of Associate Professor. He was the Vice-Chair of the Department of Environmental and Occupational Quality Management and Chair of the Laboratory for Water Protection. He actively participated on four national and three international research projects and realized five ERASMUS+ teacher mobility, one CEEPUS teacher mobility, and attended four NATO SPS workshops. He has authored four international book chapters, more than twenty papers in journals with an impact factor, and more than 150 scientific papers published within national and international conferences.
His research interests include environmental protection, water resources management, public utilities, system standards, and emergency management.
Mr. Vasović is a member of the European Society of Safety Engineers (ESSE) and Balkan Environmental Association (B.EN.A.), American Water Works Association (AWWA), Serbian Water Pollution Prevention Society, Union of Engineers and Technicians of Serbia, and Association for Water Technology and Sanitary Engineering of Serbia.
