Dr. Lijian Shi received his Ph.D. degree in marine information detection and processing from the Ocean University of China, Qingdao, China, in 2008. He is with the Department of Polar Monitoring, National Satellite Ocean Application Service, and also with the Key Laboratory of Space Ocean Remote Sensing and Application, Ministry of Natural Resources of the People's Republic of China. His research interests include remote sensing application with multisensor data, especially on sea ice monitoring.
