Failure mode effects and criticality analysis (FMECA) is a commonly adopted approach to defining, assessing, and reducing possible failures in designs, systems, processes, products, and services. Traditional FMECA ranks the failure modes of products based on a risk priority number (RPN), which is obtained by multiplying the risk elements. Conventional FMECA has the shortcomings of badly handling unknown information and unreasonably assessing RPNs. To deal with these issues, an advanced FMECA method based on intuitionistic 2‐tuple linguistic variables (I2LVs) and the triangular fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (TFAHP) is proposed. In this method, the fuzzy evaluation of risk elements given by different FMECA members is represented by I2LVs, which can efficiently handle unknown information. The TFAHP method is adopted to assess the weights of risky elements and rank the risk priorities of different failure modes. Finally, an application case of an insulated‐gate bipolar transistor is used to verify the effectiveness and robustness of the proposed method.
Motivated by the challenging requirements of optimal fault tolerance and real-time response in the Compact PCI (CPCI) measurement and control systems, a design of a high-availability hot-swap system based on VxWorks operating system is proposed. In addition, multiple methodologies are designed and applied to guarantee operational safety during the hot-swaps. An external experimental measurement platform is developed to analyze the reliability of the controlled entity in the hot-swap hot redundancy experimental system. The experimental results prove that this hot-swap hot redundancy system achieves highly stable performance as designed.
In this paper, we mainly considered the problem of nonovershooting control of high order systems with or without time delay by simple controllers. As basic principles for nonovershooting control systems, three propositions are offered and proved. Under direction of these principles, a nonovershooting dominant pole control structure having three dominant poles, i.e., one real pole and a pair of complex conjugate poles on its left, is proposed. While its zeroes and nondominant poles are on the left side of these three dominant poles with sufficient distance. The controllers adopted are composed by first order filter and PD-PID controller. Dominance of the three dominant poles can be checked and ensured through the computational method we offered. Two illustrating examples are given to show the effectiveness of our method.

Complex networks have become a center of interdisciplinary research. The robustness and reliability of complex systems can be determined by analyzing the characteristics of networks. The computer numerical control machine tool (CNCMT) is a typical complex system, and reliability is the key factor that affects the processing quality and performance of the CNCMT. The process of quantitatively determining the key functional components of CNCMT and carrying out reliability growth experiments on them remains difficult. A new importance-ranking method for the key functional components of the CNCMT is proposed in this study. First, the real characteristics of the CNCMT are analyzed, and the complex network of the CNCMT is constructed. Then, we study various indicators of the network and determine that the network has small-world characteristics. Finally, a variety of complex network characteristic indicators are fused, the weight of each indicator is determined based on the analytic hierarchy process (AHP), the importance of each node is quantitatively determined, and the fused indicators are compared with a single indicator.
The honeycomb structure of CoP@PC increases the specific surface area, and the uniform CoP enhances the electrical conductivity and reaction kinetics. Its PCE of 8.88% is much higher than that of Pt which is 7.82%.
