In this article, we extensively study a family of distributions using the trigonometric function. We add an extra parameter to the sine transformation family and name it the alpha-sine-G family of distributions. Some important functional forms and properties of the family are provided in a general form. A specific sub-model alpha-sine Weibull of this family is also introduced using the Weibull distribution as a parent distribution and studied deeply. The statistical properties of this new distribution are investigated and intended parameters are estimated using the maximum likelihood, maximum product of spacings, least square, weighted least square, and minimum distance methods. For further justification of these estimates, a simulation experiment is carried out. Two real data sets are analyzed to show the suggested model’s application. The suggested model performed well compares to some existing models considered in the study.
The Poisson Inverted Shifted Gompertz distribution is a new type of distribution that comes from the Poisson-generating family of distributions and is based on the "inverted shifted Gompertz distribution." This distribution has significant statistical characteristics, with clear formulations obtained mathematically. We use three distinct approaches to estimate the parameters of the distribution: maximum likelihood estimation (MLE), least-squares estimation (LSE), and Cramer-Von-Mises estimation (CVME). We undertake a simulation experiment to thoroughly assess the efficacy of maximum likelihood estimation (MLE). Empirical data from engineering and medical fields demonstrate the relevance of our suggested model. We meticulously evaluate the goodness-of-fit of the Poisson Inverted Shifted Gompertz distribution using several statistical tests and graphical techniques. Our suggested distribution demonstrates enhanced fitting capabilities and more flexibility compared to many widely used lifespan distributions. Furthermore, we investigate the Bayesian viewpoint of the proposed model by using Hamiltonian Monte Carlo (HMC) simulation methods. This detailed study gives you a full picture of how the Poisson Inverted Shifted Gompertz distribution can be used in many different areas.
This research article introduces a new family of distributions developed using the innovative beta-generated transformation technique. Among these distributions, the focus is on the inverse exponential power distribution, which exhibits unique reverse-J, inverted bathtub, or monotonically increasing hazard functions. This paper thoroughly investigates the distribution’s key characteristics and utilizes the maximum likelihood estimation method to determine its associated parameters. To assess the accuracy of the estimation procedure, the researchers conducted a simulation experiment, revealing diminishing biases and mean square errors with increasing sample sizes, even when working with small samples. Moreover, the practical applicability of the proposed distribution is demonstrated by analyzing real-world COVID-19 and medical datasets. The article establishes that the proposed model outperforms existing models by using model selection criteria and conducting goodness-of-fit test statistics. The potential applications of this research extend to various fields where modeling and analyzing hazard functions or survival data are crucial. Additionally, the study contributes to advancing probability theory and statistical inferences.
Practitioners in all applied domains value simple and adaptable lifetime distributions. They make it possible to create statistical models that are relatively easy to manage. A novel simple lifetime distribution with two parameters is proposed in this article. It is based on a parametric mixture of the exponential and weighted exponential distributions, with a mixture weight depending on a parameter of the involved distribution; no extra parameter is added in this mixture operation. It can also be viewed as a special generalized mixture of two exponential distributions. This decision is based on sound mathematical and physical reasoning; the weight modification allows us to combine some joint properties of the exponential and weighted exponential distribution, which are known as complementary in several modeling aspects. As a result, the proposed distribution may have a decreasing or unimodal probability density function and possess the demanded increasing hazard rate property. Other properties are studied, such as the moments, Bonferroni and Lorenz curves, Rényi entropy, stress-strength reliability, and mean residual life function. Subsequently, a part is devoted to the associated model, which demonstrates how it can be used in a real-world statistical scenario involving data. In this regard, we demonstrate how the estimated model performs well using five different estimation methods and simulated data. The analysis of two data sets demonstrates these excellent results. The new model is compared to the weighted exponential, Weibull, gamma, and generalized exponential models for performance. The obtained comparison results are overwhelmingly in favor of the proposed model according to some standard criteria.

A new distribution having three parameters called Exponentiated Inverse Chen distribution is proposed in this study. Important statistical properties like Survival function, hazard rate function, skewness and kurtosis etc are studied. Some methods of estimation Least Square, Maximum likelihood and Cramer-Von Mises methods are used using R programming software. A data set is discussed and Validity of the model is tested by analyzing P-P and Q-Q plots. Different information criteria such as Akanke’s information criterion, Bayesian information criterion, Corrected Akanke’s information criterion, and Hannan – Quinn information criterion are applied for model comparisons. For testing the goodness of fit of the proposed model, Kolmogrov-Smirnov, Anderson darling and Cramer –Von Mises statistics are used. The proposed model called Exponentiated Inverse Chen distribution is more applicable as compared to some existing probability model. It is found that MLEs are better with respect to LSE and CVM. PDF curve of model has shown that it can have various shapes like increasing as well as decreasing, monotonically increasing, constant as well as inverted bathtub shaped based hazard function is seen. Applicability and suitability of model is evaluated. For this, we have considered a real-life dataset. We found distribution that EIC is much flexible.
