Carlos Alberto Mastachi Loza is a researcher at the Inter-American Institute of Water Sciences and Technology (IITCA) of the Autonomous University of the State of Mexico (UAEMex). He holds a bachelor's degree in biology and a Ph.D. in Engineering with an emphasis on the analytical and experimental modeling of physical processes, awarded in 2010. His line of research is ecohydrology, and he focuses on relating aspects of the water cycle with ecology (animal and/or human) through the use of geostatistical techniques and prospective analysis.
