Prof. Chun-An Cheng received his BS degree in electrical engineering from National Taipei University of Technology, Taipei, Taiwan, in 1998, and a PhD degree in electrical engineering from National Cheng Kung University, Tainan, Taiwan, in 2006. Since August 2006, he has been with the Faculty of the Department of Electrical Engineering, I-Shou University, Kaohsiung, Taiwan, where he is currently a Professor. His main research interests include power electronics, converters, inverters and electronic ballasts/drivers for lighting applications. Prof. Cheng was a recipient of the Excellent Electrical Engineer Award from the Chinese Institute of Electrical Engineering, Kaohsiung, Taiwan, in May 2011.
