Dr. Ahmed Shaker is a professor at the Department of Civil Engineering and Associate Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture Science, Ryerson University, Toronto, Canada. He received his PhD degree from the LSGI, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, in 2004. His research interests cover LiDAR data processing, satellite sensor modeling, image segmentation and classification, and 3D modeling. He has two patents and more than 130 publications in international journals and conferences. He is also the recipient of several national and international awards. He is currently serving as the president of the Canadian Remote Sensing Society (2020–2022).
