The transparency of electronic procedures has become an important strategy to reduce corruption within state organizations and thus promote the sustainable and efficient management of fiscal resources, vital elements in the development of a country. E-government processes have become an important line of development, in which substantial investments have been made to have processes that allow for transparency in a large part of the country’s activities, specifically in the contracting and purchasing of public properties and services. The objective of the study is to present an overview of the work on initiatives that have been used around transparency and electronic procedures of electronic governments to identify which of these initiatives are associated with transparency and which effectively apply to electronic procedures for transparency to learn how these procedures allow for sustainable development of governments. The methodology used in this work was a systematic mapping of the literature, and the main findings suggest that this is a little-explored area.

Today, sustainability in higher education is a key factor for our society, and women play a fundamental role. However, gender faces a series of inequalities in this field of action, and from this point of view, university education is not left out. It is necessary to incorporate strategies and initiatives to reduce these inequalities within the classroom, supported mainly through public policies, which represents a challenge. It is a practical and essential challenge for public and private universities to ensure that their students are prepared for a globalized, sustainable, and gender-sensitive world. In the 2030 Agenda, two Sustainable Development Goals are proposed to address these issues, targeting SDG 5 gender equality and SDG 4 inclusive education. This study considers that to address this issue, it is necessary to identify initiatives that aim to propose measures for sustainable education and reduce the gender gap, to know which and what types of policies or strategies aim to address these issues in higher education in the same way of identifying good practices focused on inclusive policies, models, and teaching styles, also considering scientific research for sustainable education. This study considers the review of policies to reduce gaps in the STEM areas of university education and whether these measures address the goal of sustainable development. As main findings and conclusions, this study highlights the initiatives and good practices found in the literature review since 2007 but concentrated during the last five years. In addition to the literature review, this bibliographic review is complemented by presenting a practical case study with real data from a public, state, and regional university in the south of the country of Chile that takes on this challenge and shares it. The PRISMA protocol guided this study, finding 341 relevant articles to be analyzed, which mainly show how it is possible to implement measures and improve sustainable education with a gender focus through policies and initiatives within a university in the short term.

In the last decade, great strides have been made to increase access to education and enrollment rates at all levels (primary, secondary, and higher education). Actions such as promoting equal access to education, preventing school dropout, and establishing free education, among other actions proposed by organizations such as UNESCO, seek to guarantee the universality of education. This is undoubtedly a great challenge, and to address it, it is necessary to characterize how students face the learning process, considering factors such as autonomy, competencies, and their own basic psychological needs, looking for effective learning models based on students’ needs in a changing world, where ICTs play a relevant role. This research analyzes learning models, motivation, self-determination, and technologies used for learning achievement in higher engineering education. The study will highlight relevant initiatives and the most commonly used technological tools. It will also identify learning models that seek to link emotional intelligence, self-determination, cognitive skills, and ICT. The PRISMA protocol guided the study, finding 132 relevant articles to be analyzed and proposing best practices in using learning models, strategies, and ICT to foster students’ intrinsic motivation.

This study explores how the environmental conditions of sustainable classrooms influence the concentration and academic performance of students in university environments, integrating the use of sustainable design strategies. Within the framework of education for sustainability, the importance of sustainable urban spaces, buildings, interiors, and green infrastructure products in communicating and promoting scientific and environmental knowledge is recognized. Using a systematic mapping methodology, the research examines how real-time monitoring of environmental variables such as air quality, humidity, temperature, CO2, particulate matter, and lighting, through the Internet of Things (IoT), can enhance learning. The study focuses on examining the impact of environmental factors on students’ academic performance, as well as exploring how sustainable educational spaces can promote greater awareness and favorable attitudes towards the environment. Based on an analysis of 454 articles and success stories on green educational infrastructure projects, the results reveal a significant correlation between optimal environmental conditions such as good ventilation and temperature control and increased student concentration and performance. This study also highlights the role of educational interventions, both formal and informal, that integrate sustainably built environments to reinforce occupants’ environmental engagement. The conclusion is clear: improving classroom environmental conditions, especially in terms of ventilation and temperature control, not only optimizes learning, but also acts as a powerful environmental education tool, fostering education for sustainable development and strengthening ecological attitudes among students.

This study presents a systematic mapping of inclusive pedagogical models in STEM education, focusing on integrating emotional intelligence, resilience, and motivation from a gender perspective. The research aims to identify strategies that promote inclusive learning environments and reduce gender gaps in STEM disciplines. A total of 753 studies were initially identified, with 51 articles meeting the inclusion criteria and being analyzed in depth. The results reveal that active methodologies, emotional intelligence training, mentoring programs, and the presence of female role models are key strategies for fostering women’s participation and retention in STEM fields. Additionally, the findings highlight the growing importance of integrating socio-emotional skills in STEM education to improve academic performance and strengthen resilience and motivation, particularly in under-represented groups. The study discusses challenges such as teacher resistance, lack of training, and contextual barriers that affect the implementation of inclusive models. It also reflects on the influence of cultural and linguistic factors, especially in Latin American contexts. This work expands the understanding of inclusive pedagogical practices in STEM and provides relevant recommendations for educators, curriculum designers, and policymakers aiming to foster equity and sustainability in education.

Incorporating security into software development in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) is an increasingly relevant challenge and a crucial necessity, especially in an uncertain and fast-paced environment like that of an agile setting. Given the growing threat of cyberattacks, it is imperative to address this issue. This article examines and subsequently analyzes existing strategies in the literature regarding secure software development in the context of SMEs employing agile methodologies. The study initiates a systematic literature review to identify strategies employed in this context. The findings reveal that 57.9% of the studies present strategies to tackle security in agile software development, with 20.2% specifically focusing on SMEs. Subsequently, practices demonstrating success in integrating security measures into the software development lifecycle (SDLC) are analyzed and categorized. The results underscore the necessity of addressing security in the agile environment, as it remains a significant challenge in software development. Effective approaches are also required for small businesses to ensure application protection and long-term sustainability.
