His research is devoted to the development of analytical methods for cosmetic-related compounds and the development of microextraction techniques based on (nano)materials. His research has resulted in more than 90 articles, 2 books (as Editor), several chapters, 6 doctoral theses, index h 29. He has participated in different research projects and contracts. He is vocal member of the Spanish Working Group WG14 devoted to cosmetics. He acted as an expert in the European Working Group WG1 CEN/TC 392-Cosmetics.
