Filip Vlahović, PhD
Filip Vlahović defended his PhD thesis, at the Faculty of Chemistry, University of Belgrade, in 2020. He is a scientific associate at the Institute of Chemistry, Technology and Metallurgy, University of Belgrade. His main scientific interest is focused on computational chemistry and includes modeling and examination of the physical and chemical properties of various molecular species. He also works in the field of electrochemical detection, starting from the synthesis of nano-structured materials, through to the functionalization of conventional electrodes, and the application of developed (bio) sensors for the detection of desired chemical species in real samples and therapeutics. He has worked in numerous international teams and developed multidisciplinary skills, which he combines with his theoretical work in order to better understand chemical events. One of his theoretical works was chosen as the cover of the International Journal of Quantum Chemistry (March 2020).
