Environmental issues have spread around the world as a result of rapidly evolving technology, industrialization, urbanization, and population expansion. Alongside this, wastes are produced as a result of rising manufacturing activities, the use of natural resources, and brisk consumption. Thus, waste management poses a great danger to both our environment and future generations and is one of the most important environmental problems of our age. Sustainable waste management should be implemented effectively in order to protect rapidly depleted natural resources within the scope of sustainable waste management, prevent the negative effects of waste on the environment and human health, and to ensure their participation as an economic input. The aim of this study is to examine the studies on sustainable waste management between the years 2010–2021 with the visual mapping method. In this context, SSCI, SCI and ESCI indexes were selected in the Web of Science database, and a search was conducted with the concept of “sustainable waste management”. There were 599 publications found with the phrase “sustainable waste management” in the title. Later, these publications were visualized and interpreted through the VOSviewer mapping method. The most frequently used keyword in the findings was “sustainable waste management”. The author with the most publications was “Yong Sik Ok”, while the most cited author was “Daniel C.W. Tsang”. It was observed that the highest number of publications among the countries was in China. China was also identified as the country with the highest number of citations. The findings of the study can be graphically visualized to obtain the most relevant information to be applied in firms. Additionally, because doing a literature review requires a lot of time, it is believed that the researchers will find the findings of this study that compiles the literature useful. For policy makers can bring new perspectives about incorporating strategies in wastes and waste management.

In recent years, significant changes in food consumption habits have emerged due to various factors, including climate change, population growth, urbanization, and the depletion of natural resources. These changes pose a threat to the stability of global food systems and raise serious concerns about food security. Although this process encourages innovative and sustainable food consumption, it also makes individuals more skeptical and concerned about new foods. In this context, understanding consumer intentions regarding behaviors such as purchasing genetically modified (GM) foods is critical for predicting consumer responses and promoting responsible consumption patterns within the scope of sustainability. This study examined the effects of food technology neophobia and perceived information on attitudes and purchase intentions toward genetically modified (GM) foods. Survey data were collected from 324 participants across Turkey and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings revealed that food technology neophobia reduces perceived benefits and increases perceived risks, whereas perceived information enhances perceived benefits and lowers perceived risks. Additionally, attitudes were found to influence the intention to purchase GM foods significantly. Global issues, such as climate change and the depletion of natural resources, highlight the importance of innovations in food technology for sustainable food production. Understanding consumer concerns and perceived knowledge levels regarding genetically modified (GM) foods is critical to ensuring that these products are accepted at the societal level in an informed and conscious way. This study contributes to the promotion of sustainable food technologies and responsible consumer behavior, in line with the objectives of Sustainable Development Goal 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production).

This study examines the relationship between trade openness, economic growth, energy consumption and carbon emissions (CO2) with Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) by offering a model proposal. In this context, a path analysis was carried out with SEM using the 2000-2020 period data of 83 developed and developing countries to examine the direct and indirect effects between the variables. The study's findings show that trade openness directly and significantly affects economic growth, energy consumption and CO2. When the indirect effects are examined, it has been determined that economic growth and energy consumption mediate the relationship between trade openness and CO2, and energy consumption mediates the relationship between economic growth and CO2.

Today, logistics and supply chain management (SCM) are undergoing a major transformation due to the complexity of global supply networks, changing consumer demands and increasing competitive pressure. In this context, technological innovations are critical for the sectors to overcome these challenges. Blockchain technology stands out as an important digital innovation that has attracted attention in recent years with its potential to overcome many challenges in these sectors. Blockchain is considered as a technology that increases the security, transparency and efficiency of processes by accelerating digital transformation in the fields of logistics and SCM. The aim of this study, which is designed as systematic research, is to examine the effects of block chain technology on SCM and logistics, to evaluate the relevant literature by bibliometric analysis method and to identify existing research gaps. In this context, 1874 article studies in the relevant field were analyzed using the R program in accordance with the criteria determined. When the analyzed studies are evaluated in general, the advantages of transparency, reliability and efficiency provided by blockchain technology in supply chain processes come to the fore. In addition, the automated transaction capabilities of smart contracts reveal the potential to reduce costs and accelerate processes. Bibliometric analysis findings show that the most publications were made in 2023, the country with the most publications and citations was China, the journal with the most publications was Sustainability, and the institution with the most publications was Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
