The inorganic perovskite has a better stability than the hybrid halide perovskite, and at the same time it has the potential to achieve an excellent photoelectric performance as the organic-inorganic hybrid halide perovskite. Thus, the pursuit of a low-cost and high-performance inorganic perovskite solar cell (PSC) is becoming the research hot point in the research field of perovskite devices. In setting out to build vacuum-free and carbon-based all-inorganic PSCs with the traits of simple fabrication and low cost, we propose the ones with a simplified vertical structure of FTO/CsPbIBr2/carbon upon interfacial modification with PEI species. In this structure, both the electron-transporting-layer and hole-transporting-layer are abandoned, and the noble metal is also replaced by the carbon paste. At the same time, FTO is modified by PEI, which brings dipoles to decrease the work function of FTO. Through our measurements, the carrier recombination has been partially suppressed, and the performance of champion PSCs has far exceeded the control devices without PEI modification, which yields a power conversion efficiency of 4.9% with an open circuit voltage of 0.9 V and a fill factor of 50.4%. Our work contributes significantly to give an available method to explore charge-transporting-layer-free, low-cost, and high-performance PSCs.
In this study, we use a phase-changing material vanadium dioxide (VO2) to design a multilayer metasurface structure to achieve the transition from an electromagnetically induced transparency(EIT) device to an absorber. The structure consists of a gold layer, a polyimide spacer layer, a VO2 layer, and a sapphire substrate. The top layer consists of one cut wire and two split-ring resonators with the same parameters. When the VO2 layer is in its insulating phase at room temperature, the peak of the EIT device will appear near 1.138 THz. When the VO2 layer is in the metallic state, two absorption peaks above 99.5% appear separately at 1.19 and 1.378 THz, respectively. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first time that a coupled mode equation is used to perform theoretical calculations for EIT devices and perfect absorbers simultaneously, and this is also the first time that coupled mode equations are used for the theoretical calculations of two absorption peaks in an absorber. The proposed metasurface combines the advantages of terahertz absorption, EIT and active device control, which will provide more ideas for the design of future terahertz devices and is also significant for the design and development of radomes for future stealth aircraft.
Spatial heterodyne scanning imaging combines the advantages of spatial heterodyne spectroscopy and imaging technology. It can obtain images and spectral information simultaneously with the characteristics of high spectral resolution, high flux, and small volume and can achieve spectral restoration of all target points in the measured area through scan imaging only once. When two-dimensional spatial information and one-dimensional spectral information are obtained, the imaging spectrum data cube is generated. Using MATLAB and ZEMAX as simulation software, image information with interference fringes was constructed, and the distribution of interference information was explored. A potassium lamp, xenon lamp, and tungsten lamp were used as different light sources to perform validation. Because of the influence of the scanning displacement error on the accuracy of interference information extraction, an algorithm for image spectrum reconstruction is proposed based on the principle of distribution of interference information. The speed-up robust features algorithm was used for image registration to improve accuracy. The experimental results show that the spectral information under the three light sources can be reconstructed, which corresponds to the standard spectrum from the optical fiber spectrometer. The feasibility of this imaging spectrum reconstruction has been preliminarily verified, and the spectral information of the desired target can be directly extracted from the data cube.
A polymer optical fiber SPR sensor for detecting Cu2+ ion concentration in water is proposed. The sensor employs a simple side-polish structure and realizes the detection of Cu2+ ion concentration by employing the chitosan (CS)/polyacrylic acid (PAA) bilayer film on the gold film of the optical fiber surface. The structure of the fiber probe is optimized, and the sensing performances for the Cu2+ ion detection are analyzed experimentally. The experimental results demonstrate that the sensor exhibits a high sensitivity of 465.539 nm/ppm for the Cu2+ ion detection in the concentration range of 0–0.04 ppm. And it has a fast response speed and good selectivity for Cu2+ ions. The sensor has the advantages of simple structure and low cost, and has potential applications in the field of heavy metal detection.
Coupling is a ubiquitous phenomenon observed in various systems, which profoundly alters the original oscillation state of resonant systems and leads to the unique optical properties of metasurfaces. In this study, we introduce a terahertz (THz) tunable coupling metasurface characterized by a four-fold rotation (C4) symmetry-breaking structural array achieved through the incorporation of vanadium dioxide (VO2). This disruption of the C4 symmetry results in dynamically controlled electromagnetic interactions and couplings between excitation modes. The coupling between new resonant modes modifies the peak of electromagnetic-induced transparency (EIT) within the C4 symmetric metasurfaces, simulating the mutual interference process between modes. Additionally, breaking the C4 symmetry enhances the mirror asymmetry, and imparts distinct chiral properties in the far-field during the experimental process. This research demonstrates promising applications in diverse fields, including biological monitoring, light modulation, sensing, and nonlinear enhancement.
