Krzysztof Durkalec-Michalski received his Master's degree from the Poznan University of Life Sciences in 2007, his PhD from the Poznan University of Medical Sciences in 2013, and his habilitation from the Poznan University of Physical Education in 2020. He is the Head of the Department of Sports Dietetics and Associate Professor at the Poznan University of Physical Education and a Visiting Professor at Faculty of Physical Education and Sport at Charles University in Prague. He has also worked as an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Human Nutrition and Dietetics at the Poznan University of Life Sciences and as a Visiting Professor at Deakin University in Melbourne (in the School of Exercise and Nutrition Sciences) and at the University of São Paulo (in the Escola de Educação Física e Esporte). He has been an expert member of the Polish Council for Supplements and Nutritional Foods and a member of several societies, including the Committee of Kinesiology of the Polish Academy of Sciences, the International Society of Sports Nutrition, the European College of Sport Science, and the Polish Society of Nutritional Sciences. He is also a member of the Medical Staff at the Polish National Rowing Association, the Polish Golf Union, and has been a medical staff member of the Polish Wrestling Federation. His research interests focus on experimental and practical sports nutrition.
