Chuanfeng Zhao is a full professor at the Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences, School of Physics. He got his B.S. and M.S. degrees at Peking University in 1999 and 2002, respectively; and obtained his PhD degree at the University of Utah in 2007. His research interest mainly focuses on cloud physics and aerosol, including the remote sensing of cloud, aerosol and precipitation, aerosol-cloud/precipitation-radiation interactions along with their impacts on both weather and climate. He is the principle investigator for several national key scientific projects and the winner of several awards including the Beijing Natural Science Award. As of May 2022, he has published more than 130 peer-review journal papers with total citations of more than 3600.
