Dr. Laura M.Cursaru is a research scientist at the Nanostructured Materials Laboratory, National R&D Institute for Nonferrous and Rare Metals. She received a Diploma in Chemistry as a graduate engineer and a Diploma in Advanced Studies forThermodynamics and Advanced Electrochemistry from the Faculty of Industrial Chemistry, Politehnica University of Bucharest, in 2002 and 2003, respectively. She obtained her Ph.D. in Chemistry from the Faculty of Applied Chemistry and Materials Science, Politehnica University of Bucharest, in 2008. Her current work is mainly focused on the hydrothermal synthesis of nanostructured materials and the obtainment of thin films via hydrothermal-electrochemical process.
