Prof. Dr. Alexandru Pirjan

Alexandru Pîrjan graduated from the Faculty of Computer Science for Business Management in 2005. He has held a BA Degree in Computer Science for Business Management since 2005, an MA Degree in Computer Science for Business Management since 2007, a Ph.D. in Computer Science for Business Management since 2012, and a Habilitation Certification granting doctoral supervisor status in the field of Computer Science for Business Management since 2016. He joined the staff of the Romanian-American University as a stagiaire teaching assistant in 2005, a lecturer assistant in 2008, a lecturer in 2014, an associate professor in 2017, and a full professor in 2019. He is the Managing Director of the Center of Research, Consultancy and Training in Economic Informatics and Information Technology of the Romanian-American University. He is the author of more than 50 journal articles and 10 scientific books and a member of 8 scientific research projects. His work focuses on artificial intelligence, energy and environment, parallel processing architectures, database applications, and software quality management. He is the recipient of the Clarivate Web of Science Top 1% Peer Review Award and the MDPI award for his activity as a scientific reviewer. He is a member of several professional associations, including the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Standards Association (IEEE), the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), and the International Association of Engineers (IAENG).
