Purpose: Bootleg Innovation helps enterprises create unconventional innovation achievements, and has gradually become an important approach for radical innovation under the background of open innovation. Through the integration of the cognitive-affective processing system and conservation of resources (COR) theory, the present study takes integrative complexity as a moderator, and explores the mechanism of LMX ambivalence on employees’ bootleg innovation. Participants and Methods: A total of 387 employees and 110 supervising managers participated in the two-wave dyadic survey. To test our hypotheses, we performed the hierarchical regression and conducted bootstrapping analyses to test our hypotheses. Results: Findings indicated that LMX ambivalence not only improves employees’ cognitive flexibility and promotes bootleg innovation, but also aggravates employees’ job anxiety and hinders bootleg innovation. In addition, integrative complexity significantly moderates the above two mediating paths. Specifically, when integrative complexity was higher, the negative mediating effect of job anxiety was attenuated, and the positive mediating effect of cognitive flexibility was enhanced. Conclusion: Contrasting with previous research, this research analyzed the triggering mechanism of bootleg innovation combined with the dynamic interaction of environmental stimulus, emotion and cognition. The findings provide novel insight into how to achieve bootleg innovation.

Green finance innovation has received emerging attention from the finance industry in recent years; however, few studies have explored the internal mechanisms that link innovation climate to a green finance R&D team’s effectiveness. Using data from 65 teams that belong to green finance industries, collected via the questionnaire survey, we explore how innovation climate positively affects knowledge sharing, and both innovation climate and knowledge sharing can improve the effectiveness of the green finance R&D team. We also find that knowledge sharing mediates the relationship between innovation climate and a green finance R&D team’s effectiveness and that knowledge heterogeneity moderates the relationship between knowledge sharing and team effectiveness. Based on these findings, this study contributes to providing useful recommendations for professional managers and policymakers to effectively promote the development of the green finance industry.

A PBO is a temporary organization formed by assembling members with diverse experiences and backgrounds, aimed at achieving specific innovation goals. Constructing a reasonable communication network structure and enhancing organizational synergy are effective ways to promote the sustainable development of the system. This study, based on the Input–Process–Output (IPO) model and social network analysis, utilized a group collaboration platform to conduct a three-stage communication experiment on 685 construction project managers. Under two organizational sizes, the internal mechanism of how communication networks with two levels of centralization influence task performance were tested. The results indicate that in the case of a smaller organizational size, PBOs using a decentralized communication network tend to achieve higher task performance. However, as the organizational size expands, PBOs employing a centralized communication network may surpass in task performance. Additionally, we found that with the expansion of organizational size, bootleg innovation behaviors of organizational members are continually stimulated, further enhancing collective task performance. This study, based on the evolution of communication network parameters, explores the structural characteristics of organizational communication networks and the mechanisms underlying the emergence of bootleg innovation behaviors. It delineates the key pathways for improving collective task performance. The findings can provide a scientific reference for the organizational evolution and development of engineering project management.

In recent years, the development and iteration of information technology have prompted the financial industry to transform and upgrade to financial technology (FinTech), which has received emerging attention from the global financial industry. While the FinTech industry is growing rapidly around the world, however, few studies have foucusd on the shortage of talent and difficulties in recruiting talent. First, this paper clarifies the shortage of FinTech talent through expert interviews and a questionnaire survey of 112 financial industry enterprises in Shanghai, China. Following, based on role theory, we construct a talent capability evaluation index system using 5 primary and 17 secondary indicators. Based on the exploration above, a gray optimization model is designed to support talent recruitment strategy for FinTech enterprises. The results indicate that Chinese FinTech talent should have composite abilities with outstanding professional technical skills and learning abilities, innovation and teamwork ability, project experience, and international vision. This study provides methodological guidelines for global FinTech talent evaluation and recruitment strategies and broadens the application of role theory and gray clustering theory.

In the construction industry, there are a large number of project-based organizations (PBOs), where the efficiency of communication and collaboration among organizational members greatly impacts the success of projects. For PBOs employing both centralized and decentralized communication networks, it is worth delving into the question of under what circumstances which type of network will yield better results. Based on the IMO model and organizational learning theory, this paper conducts a grouped communication experiment involving 598 engineering management personnel to explore the differences in collective effectiveness of varying communication networks from the perspective of task urgency. Beyond task performance assessments, we have included organizational member perception to form evaluation criteria for collective effectiveness. Our research results show that under conditions of weak task urgency, decentralized networks yield higher collective effectiveness. Conversely, under conditions of strong task urgency, centralized networks demonstrate superior collective effectiveness. Furthermore, this study also verifies the mediating role of knowledge sharing behavior when task urgency is strong. This research provides significant managerial insights for the establishment of appropriate communication networks for PBOs in the construction industry.

As a key financial instrument driving the green transition of the economy, green credit has a significant impact on the sustainability performance of energy-intensive enterprises. Using a sample of energy-intensive listed companies on the A-share market from 2010 to 2024, this study employs a combination of fixed-effects, and panel threshold models to examine the mechanism through which green credit policies operate. The findings reveal that green credit significantly enhances corporate sustainability performance; the cash flow index positively moderates this relationship and exhibits a threshold effect, with policy effects significantly strengthening when the index exceeds the threshold value; policy effects are stronger for state-owned enterprises than for non-state-owned enterprises. The study reveals the impact of green credit policies on energy-intensive enterprises and the threshold-regulating effect of the cash flow index, providing both theoretical and empirical foundations for optimizing green finance policies.
