Dr. Marino Lavorgna is a researcher of the Institute of Polymers, Composites, and Biomaterials of the National Research Council. He obtained a degree in Industrial Chemistry from Federico II University in Napoli (Italy) and a PhD in Polymer Engineering from Loughborough University in 2009. He has been, on behalf of the IPCB-CNR institute, the scientific coordinator of several national research projects and international bilateral projects (CNR-CAS (China) and CNR-AVCR (Czech Rep)). At the moment, he is also the scientific coordinator of the CNR project Joint Lab on Advanced Materials based on Graphene with the SKPLME—China. He was part of the team awarded the International Polymer Challenge Price in 2007 by VenetoNanotech and Imast Scral with a business project focused on the development of new porous hybrid materials for civil and industrial building applications. His research interests include polymers, composites, nanoparticles, and graphene.
