Gang Liu a professor at China Agricultural University, is mainly engaged in research on the application of electronic information technology in agriculture. His primary research interests include key technologies of precision agriculture, rapid detection technology of soil heavy metals, and intelligent control technology of agricultural equipment. In recent years, he has led and completed several significant projects, including three projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, two projects under the National 863 Program, one key project under the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission, and one key research and development project under the 13th Five Year Plan. He has been awarded 28 invention patents and 10 utility model patents, in addition to publishing over 90 academic papers, including 64 papers included in SCI/EI. His contributions to the field have been recognized with several awards, including one second-place prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, one first-place prize of the Beijing Science and Technology Progress Award, one third-place prize of the Shennong China Agricultural Science and Technology Award of the Ministry of Agriculture, one first-place prize of the Agricultural Water Saving Science and Technology Award of the Ministry of Water Resources, and one second-place prize of the Science and Technology Award of Hebei Province.
