Purpose- Multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) is considered a complex decision-making (DM) tool that integrates both quantitative and qualitative factors. In recent years, various MCDM techniques and approaches have been proposed to select the best possible alternative. The overall aim of this study was to identify the tendencies and trends of the discipline over the past 50 years by conducting a bibliometric analysis of 10,387 studies published between 1974 and 2024 in the realm of multi-criteria decision-making methods (MCDM). Methodology- In this regard, the Web of Science Core Collection database was utilized to retrieve articles related to “Multiple criteria decision-making”, from which bibliometric data were extracted and analyzed. These studies were analyzed within the context of the number of publications by year, types of publications, language of publications, citation analysis, cooperation among countries, common citation networks and concept-topic orientations Findings- The analysis unveiled a rapid increase in the number of publications after 2012, with studies predominantly taking the form of articles and being published in English. Besides, engineering emerged as the field with the highest number of publications, with the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and the Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) being the most frequently used concepts. Zavadskas was identified as the author with the most publications and most cited on the subject. The journal with the highest number of citations was European Journal of Operational Research. Furthermore, the USA and China play a pivotal role in cooperation between countries. Conclusion- This study is expected to make a valuable contribution to the relevant field as a determinant of some of the most effective researches, including influential journals, articles and authors in MCDM. Moreover, it may serve as a guide for researchers in terms of documenting the common tendencies in the field of MCDM Keywords: Decison, decision making, multi-criteria decision making, bibliometric analysis, network analysis JEL Codes: C00, C02, C60

This study explores the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) disclosure practices of 31 information technology firms listed on Borsa Istanbul (BIST), with a particular emphasis on transparency and accountability. Building on legitimacy, stakeholder, and signalling theories, the study develops a composite ESG disclosure index based on 18 binary indicators covering strategy, environmental performance, social impact, stakeholder engagement, and governance structures. Each indicator is equally weighted and combined into environmental, social, and governance sub-indices, which are then aggregated into a firm-level ESG disclosure score using a single min–max normalisation scheme. K-means clustering, validated through the elbow method and silhouette coefficient, is applied to identify groups of firms with similar ESG disclosure profiles. The empirical results show substantial heterogeneity in disclosure intensity across Turkish IT firms. A small group of companies exhibits proactive and comprehensive ESG communication, whereas many firms disclose only limited and fragmented information. Governance- and reporting-related indicators (C6 and C7) are particularly influential, underscoring the importance of standardised ESG reporting and board-level oversight in strengthening transparency. The study contributes to the emerging ESG disclosure literature by providing a methodologically consistent framework for assessing ESG transparency in the IT sector and offering practical insights for regulators, investors, and corporate decision-makers aiming to improve the reliability of ESG reporting in Turkey.

VIKOR is a selecting and sorting technique for addressing problems and optimising multi-criteria decision making in complex systems. This study sought the relevant literature to categorise, analyse, and discuss the content and extent of existing studies that used the VIKOR method for applications in manufacturing. The study examined 84 studies published throughout 2018–2020. The studies were categorised by publication dates, author(s) name, techniques and methods, weighting method, comparison method, description of comparison results (comparing a given method to others), testing applicability, and journal-title. Analyses revealed that approximately 35 of the published studies involving VIKOR were related to its strategic use in manufacturing decisions and applications. In 2019, manufacturing was represented more than any other field among all published VIKOR papers, and Sustainability published more of the VIKOR-related articles than any other journal. Interestingly, the integrated and fuzzy VIKOR methods were used more than the traditional VIKOR method. Furthermore, the review results show that VIKOR is flexible enough to be continuously improved by integrating it with the new multi-criteria decision-making methods. This literature review can guide researchers and practitioners in applying VIKOR in various manufacturing fields.

Funds collected as insurance premiums are very important for the development and deepening of the national economies. These premiums paid to insurance companies provide funds for capital markets by creating savings sources. The aim of this study is to investigate how and in what direction the insurance premium volume affects the economic growth of these 25 countries. For this purpose, Johansen Cointegration, Kao cointegration, panel FMOLS, Dumitrescu and Hurlin (2012) Panel Granger Causality methods were used. Cointegration tests show that economic growth and insurance premium volume variables have long-term cointegration relationships. According to Panel FMOLS test results, a 1% increase in insurance premium volumes leads to an increase of 0.113% in economic growth. According to Dumitrescu and Hurlin (2012) panel Granger causality analysis, there is one-way causality from insurance volumes to economic growth.
