Wei Meng is a professor at the School of Information Engineering, Wuhan University of
Technology. He received his bachelor's and master's degrees from Wuhan University of Technology. He was a joint PhD student at the University of Auckland, New Zealand, and later received his PhD in Information and Communication Engineering from Wuhan University of Technology. He completed his
postdoctoral work at the School of Electronic and Electrical Engineering, University of Leeds, UK. He was a lecturer and associate professor and was later promoted to professor at the School of Information Engineering, Wuhan University of Technology. He won the first prize of the Hubei Province Teaching Achievement Award. He is a core member of the "National Huang Danian-style Teacher Team of Colleges and Universities".
