Maurizio Tiepolo is an associate professor of urban and regional planning at the Interuniversity Department of Regional and Urban Studies and Planning, Politecnico of Turin, Italy. He leads the Flood Early Warning Local System in the Sahel project (SLAPIS, according to the French acronym). His teaching disciplines include urban, climate, and spatial planning for climate change. His interests include flood, drought, and heat risk management, cooling policies in the urban context, and urban morphology in the Global South.
