Daniel Hackett is a Senior Lecturer of Exercise and Sport Science at the Faculty of Medicine and Health, University of Sydney. He received his Bachelor of Exercise Science from the Australian Catholic University North Sydney Campus, and earned his Master of Health Science and Ph.D. degree from the University of Sydney Faculty of Health Sciences. His research is mainly focused on the performance and physiological effects of resistance training in both acute and chronic contexts. Muscle adaptations following resistance training is another major focus of his research in numerous populations ranging from strength/power athletes to people with neuromuscular disease. He is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist with a passion for optimizing exercise prescription to improve health and physical performance. He is also interested in identifying and manipulating resistance exercise variables to optimize training adaptations.
