Yanxiong Liu graduated from Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PhD) in 1999 and served as Deputy Director and Associate Professor of GPS Research Center of Wuhan University from December 1999. From 2001 to March 2001.03, Liu worked as a researcher in Hong Kong Polytechnic University and German Geoscience Research Center from March 2001.01 to January 2004.01, and worked as a researcher in the First Institute of Oceanography of the State Oceanic Administration in 2005. Liu is a registered Cartographer, part-time doctoral supervisor of Wuhan University and Hohai University, a member of the Professional Committee of Geodesy and Navigation of Chinese Society of Surveying, Mapping and Geographic Information, and director of the China Satellite Navigation and Positioning Association.
