Damian T. Murphy received a B.Sc. (Hons.) degree in Mathematics, M.Sc. degree in Music Technology, and D.Phil. degree in Music Technology, all from the University of York, York, U.K., in 1993, 1995, and 2000, respectively. He is a Professor of Sound and Music Computing in the AudioLab, Department of Electronic Engineering, University of York, where he has worked since 2000; he is also the Director of the XR Stories Creative Industries Cluster R&D Project, a Visiting Lecturer in the Department of Speech, Music, and Hearing, KTH, Sweden, and has held Visiting Researcher positions at a number of universities internationally. His research interests include acoustic modeling and spatial audio. He is a member of the Audio Engineering Society.
