Dr Yassir M. Abbas received his PhD in civil engineering from the PETRONAS University of Technology in 2011. He worked as an assistant Professor at Sudan University of Science and Technology (2011–2013). In 2013, he moved to King Saud University and was promoted to Associate Professor in 2018. His research topics include the development of cement-based composites, empirical and computational simulations, concrete reinforced with fibers, applications of artificial intelligence in civil engineering, finite element analysis, and reinforced concrete structures.
