Nazia Hossain is currently working toward her Ph.D. on ‘Hydrothermal carbonization of waste biomass in Australia and application of hydrochar for wastewater treatment’ under Chemical and Environmental Engineering, School of Engineering, RMIT University, Australia. Her research interests include biomass and biofuel technology, microalgal biofuel, hydrothermal carbonization, water research, techno-economic analysis, and life cycle assessment. She has published over 35 articles (22 as the first author) in reputed international journals, conferences, and book chapters. She is acting as the leading guest editor for the Special Issue ‘Biofuel Production and its Applications, a Practice to the Sustainable Future Renewable Source of Energy’ in Sustainability (IF: 2.57), MDPI Publishers. Her current Google Scholar h-index is 12, and her i10-index is 16. She obtained the best poster presentation award at the 6th Water Research Symposium, RMIT University, in 2020. Her publication ‘Techno-economic and Sensitivity Analysis of Microalgae as Commercial Feedstock for Bioethanol Production’ obtained the top downloaded article award in the journal Environmental Progress and Sustainable Energy in 2019.
