W. Szelag received his M.S., Ph.D., and Doctor of Science degrees in electrical engineering from the Poznan University of Technology, Poznan, Poland, in 1979, 1984, and 1998, respectively. Since 1982, he has been employed in research and education. He is currently a Professor of electrical engineering at the Poznan University of Technology. He has authored or coauthored more than 200 conference and journal papers on electrical machines, electromagnetics, and electrodynamics. His research interests include electromagnetic field calculation, coupled electromagnetic–thermal and hydrodynamic phenomena analysis, and the design of electrical machines and actuators.
