Prof. Dr. Seung-Hoon Hwang received his Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Yonsei University, Seoul, Republic of Korea, in 1999. From 1999 to 2004, he worked on UMTS standardization with LG Electronics, Republic of Korea. From 2003 to 2004, he was a Visiting Research Fellow with the University of Southampton, UK, with Prof. Lajos Hanzo. In 2010, he was a Visiting Professor at Stanford University, Stanford, CA, USA, with Prof. John Cioffi. He is currently a Professor at the Division of Electronics and Electrical Engineering and the Dean of the Engineering School at Dongguk University, Seoul. His research interests include wireless networks, vehicular communications and connected vehicles, signal processing and digital transmission, radio channels and antennas, cooperative communication and green communication, autonomous vehicles and intelligent transportation, and 5G/B5G/6G and cellular systems. He has received awards from the Minister of Education and the Minister of Science and ICT, and the British Chevening Scholarship funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, UK. He is a Vice President of the Korean Institute of Communications and Information Sciences, and a chairman of the spectrum committees in the 6G Forum, Republic of Korea.
