Ghulam Abbas (Senior Member, IEEE) received a B.E. degree from the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore, Pakistan, in 2004, and M.E. and Ph.D. degrees from the Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Lyon (INSA Lyon), France, in 2008 and 2012, respectively, all in Electrical Engineering. He is currently working as a Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of Lahore, Lahore, Pakistan. He has published a number of papers at various international and national IEEE conferences and in journals of repute, such as IEEE, Elsevier, and MDPI. He is a reviewer of several premier conferences and journals, including the IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics, Asian Journal of Control, Engineering Optimization, IEEE Access, etc. He has served on several electrical and computer engineering journals as a guest editor. His research interests include analog and digital controller designs for power switching converters, soft computing, solar photovoltaic systems, renewable energy systems, and power system optimization.
