Background: The increase in population longevity often occurs in contexts of inequity and relative poverty, accompanied by economic deterioration. This becomes a social determinant that has a direct impact on food security. This phenomenon particularly affects certain groups and territories, although there is still a lack of disaggregated references. Intersections between factors such as being a rural inhabitant, Indigenous, woman, or elderly person are observed in relation to food security, which forces us to pay greater attention to gaps that have remained invisible for years. Objective: The objective of this study is to analyze the main factors that affect the food security of Mapuche men and women over 60 years of age living in the rural area of Temuco, Chile. Method: Qualitative, descriptive, and interpretative research was carried out, observing the process from the interpretative symbolic paradigm and the complexity approach. Results: The data are made up of the discourses of these subjects, whose analysis allowed for the identification of results. These results show that producing their own food enables rural Mapuche elders to achieve food security. The cultural food heritage preserved by Mapuche elders, especially women, acts as a facilitating factor, as do community spaces that reinforce their culture. Among the obstacles to food security are migration to the city for work, pathological aging, and the limited production of culturally healthy foods (affected by environmental problems, cultural changes, the destabilization of group identity, and public policies that are incongruent with the territorial worldview). Conclusions: While rural Mapuche elders retain valuable practices for their food security, inadequate policies, migration and environmental degradation present significant challenges.
Context: Eliciting business processes is critical for understanding and optimizing organizational workflows. This study examines methodologies, tools, and techniques that aim to enhance the accuracy and reliability of process modeling while addressing challenges such as inconsistent data and the lack of standards for unstructured processes. Objectives: The primary goal is to identify and classify approaches and techniques used in process elicitation, categorizing them into key areas and assessing their impact on continuous improvement in organizations. Methodology: A systematic mapping was conducted to review existing literature, classifying selected studies into methodologies, modeling tools, and automation frameworks. Current trends and gaps in the field were also analyzed. Results: The study highlights the growing adoption of tools such as BPMN, collaborative approaches, and advanced technologies to address data inconsistencies. The findings emphasize the importance of integrating interdisciplinary approaches and adaptive tools to align with dynamic business environments. This work lays the groundwork for further research to enhance organizational process elicitation practices. Future work: Future research should explore the implementation of emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence and big data analytics, to further automate process elicitation. Additionally, evaluating the effectiveness of collaborative approaches across diverse industries and analyzing the impact of tool customization in specific contexts is recommended to ensure scalability and efficiency. Historically, activities related to software development have been led by men, with weak participation from women. Currently, initiatives have been promoted to increasingly integrate women into this discipline. However, despite the known benefits of gender diversity in innovation and team performance, the visibility of women in this field remains weak. The primary objective of this article is to analyze strategies to attract female talent to the software development industry, aiming to reduce the gender gaps that women face. The methodology used in this work is based on several steps of systematic literature mapping, which seeks to provide a comprehensive overview of the literature on this topic, classify the findings, and offer a framework for future research in this area. The main findings highlight the need for organizational policies and work practices that promote gender equality, as well as the importance of early education and training in retaining female talent in the software industry. This study not only contributes to academic discourse but also suggests practical measures for industry professionals to foster a more inclusive and equitable work environment.
