Dr. Ileana Federigi

Ileana Federigi graduated in Biological Sciences, has a PhD in Biology, and is currently a Researcher at the Hygiene and Environmental Virology Laboratory (Department of Biology, University of Pisa) under the European National Operational Programme (NOP) on Research and Innovation 2014–2020, including topics on "Education and research for recovery". Her main research topics are biological health risk analysis (assessment, management, and communication), using both qualitative and quantitative approaches. Her technical expertise includes microbiological monitoring of various environmental matrices (e.g., waste, ground, sea, and surface waters) and laboratory analysis for bacteria and viruses using cultural and biomolecular techniques.
