María Reyes Sánchez-Herrera (reyes.sanchez@die.uhu.es) earned her industrial engineering degree from the University of Seville, Seville, Spain, in 1995 and her Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering with award from the University of Huelva, Huelva, Spain, in 2007. She is also a business graduate. She held positions as an industrial engineer in several companies until joining the University of Huelva in 2001, where she is currently associated professor with the Department of Electrical Engineering. She has seven patents and 56 publications, 26 of them published in journals indexed in Journal Citation Reports. She has participated in almost 20 research projects (national and international) coordinating 7 of them. Her research interests include electrical power quality, microgrids and renewable energy systems. During the time at the University she has held several management positions.
