Background/Objectives: The use of dietary supplements (DSs) has become common among fitness enthusiasts, aiming to enhance performance, recovery, and overall well-being. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted in the city of Beni Mellal from April to July 2024, assessed dietary practices, motivations for supplement use, and associated adverse effects among 420 survey participants. Results: The majority of dietary supplement users were aged 25–64 and had higher education levels. Colopathy (67.38%) was the most common eating disorder, followed by digestive (59.46%), inflammatory, and rheumatic diseases (53.50%). Dietary supplementation prevalence was 88.1%, with proteins (60.81%), medicinal plants (45.13%), and vitamins (42.70%) being the most consumed. Key motivations included supporting muscle, bone, and joint strength (musculoskeletal) (83.78%) and enhancing heart and lung function for cardiorespiratory health (82.43%). However, 28% of protein users experienced adverse effects, such as myalgia, gastralgia, palpitations, and insomnia. Multivariate linear regression indicated a significant negative association of creatine with effectiveness (β = −0.485, p = 0.001). Conclusions: Overall, while the benefits of dietary and sports practices are evident, the adverse effects associated with protein supplements highlight the necessity for enhanced nutrivigilance and nutritional education to ensure safe supplements.

Background: Multiple sclerosis (MS), fatigue is among the leading clinical symptoms. It is one of the most disabling symptoms for most MS people. Objectives: This research measures the prevalence of fatigue and its impact on the physical, cognitive, and psychosocial abilities of individuals with MS in Morocco. Method: This cross-sectional and descriptive study included 152 participants. Data were collected via an online survey using the snowball method, incorporating sociodemographic characteristics and the Arabic version of the Modified Fatigue Impact Scale. Results: According to the results, 89.4% of respondents experienced pathological fatigue, with an average score of 65.52 (± 18.00). There was a significant relationship between pathological fatigue, age (p = 0.0324), and clinical phenotype (p = 0.041). Fatigue negatively impacted participants’ physical, cognitive, and psychological capacities, with average scores of 70.38 (± 8.15), 62.28 (± 10.23), and 73.87 (± 1.86), respectively. Conclusion: The results of our study confirmed a high prevalence of fatigue among people with MS in Morocco. Sustained research in this field remains crucial, as it enables the formulation of strategies aimed at enhancing the quality of life for those impacted by MS. Contribution: This study is the first in Morocco to examine fatigue prevalence in people with MS and its impact on their physical, cognitive, and psychosocial abilities. High fatigue levels hinder the integration of people with MS into professional and student life. The findings emphasize the need for effective symptom and fatigue management.

The increasing consumption of dietary supplements among physically active individuals raises concerns about labeling compliance and consumer safety, particularly in Morocco, where data remain limited. This study assessed the labeling compliance of dietary supplements with national and international regulations in the Beni Mellal–Khénifra region. An observational study was conducted between December 2024 and May 2025 on 403 dietary supplements collected from fitness centers, parapharmacies, and supermarkets. Products were evaluated using a 30‐item regulatory checklist, and data were analyzed using Chi‐squared tests and Spearman correlations. Overall, 81.39% of supplements were non‐compliant. The highest non‐compliance was observed in creatine and amino acid‐based products (100%) and multivitamins (86.2%), while medicinal plant‐based supplements showed lower non‐compliance (48%). Missing regulatory information, including dietary category, energy value, safety warnings, and registration numbers, was significantly associated with non‐compliance ( p < 0.001). Imported products were significantly less compliant than locally produced ones ( r = −0.694, p < 0.001). The high prevalence of labeling non‐compliance highlights the urgent need for strengthened regulatory enforcement and market surveillance to improve consumer protection and labeling transparency.

Context: Asthma is a growing health problem worldwide, including Africa and Morocco, triggered by environmental factors and allergens. Aims: To investigate the factors influencing asthma control. Methods: This retrospective observational study was conducted in the city of Guelmim, southern Morocco, during the year 2023. It included 118 patients with asthma, and health professionals administered a questionnaire based on the recommendations of the Global Asthma Initiative 2021. Results: Age between 38 and 48 years, non-smoking status, and living in a sunny, ventilated house were negatively associated with uncontrolled asthma and acted as protective factors. The absence of a history of COVID-19, strong adherence to treatment and the use of natural honey combined with medic-inal plants were negatively associated with uncontrolled asthma. The presence of comorbidities, allergic rhinitis, hypertension, gastroesophageal reflux disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), dyspnea, and nocturnal cough were identified as risk factors for uncontrolled asthma. In multivariate analysis, age 38 to 48 years (adjusted OR: 0.44, 95% CI: 0.33 to 1.20), ventilated and sunny homes (adjusted OR: 0.55, 95% CI: 0.33 to 2.10), no exposure to air pollutants (adjusted OR: 1.50, 95% CI: 0.50-6. 85), high adherence to treatment (adjusted OR: 0. 10, 95% CI: 0.10-1.20), comor-bidities (adjusted OR: 2.74, 95% CI: 0.99-10.22), COPD and use of natural honey combined with herbs (adjusted OR: 1.75, 95% CI: 1.5-3.45) remained significantly associated with asthma control. Conclusions: The study highlights the need for comprehensive asthma management strategies that include medical treatment, socioeconomic factors, and environmental exposures.

Urinary tract infections represent a significant public health issue exacerbated by bacterial antibiotic resistance. Honey, due to its phenolic compounds, offers a promising natural alternative. This study explores the phenolic profile of monofloral honeys from the Beni Mellal‐Khenifra region and their antibacterial activity against multidrug‐resistant strains. Four monofloral honeys from Beni Mellal‐Khenifra were analyzed for their phenolic composition and evaluated for antibacterial activity against multidrug‐resistant uropathogenic bacteria. Computational studies were also performed to explore the potential mechanisms of action of the identified compounds. HPLC‐UV detection identified distinct phenolic profiles in four monofloral honeys. Carob honey showed the highest diversity, with eight compounds identified, notably myricetin (63.99 μg/mg), trans‐ferulic acid (33.99 μg/mg), gallic acid (21.02 μg/mg), naringin (17.95 μg/mg), catechin (3.66 μg/mg), and trans‐cinnamic acid (2.75 μg/mg). Euphorbia honey was rich in hydroxycinnamic acids, especially caffeic acid (285.35 μg/mg), p‐coumaric acid (190.93 μg/mg), and trans‐ferulic acid (125.37 μg/mg). Anise honey contained high levels of naringin (669.84 μg/mg), along with myricetin (90.08 μg/mg) and 3‐hydroxybenzoic acid (76.59 μg/mg). In contrast, citrus honey exhibited the lowest polyphenolic content, with only gallic acid (0.21 μg/mg) and catechin (2.69 μg/mg) detected. The honey samples exhibited notable antibacterial activity against multidrug‐resistant uropathogenic bacteria, including E. coli , K. pneumoniae , and S. aureus . Among them, euphorbia and carob honeys demonstrated the highest antibacterial efficacy, with MBC values of 25% (v/v) against S. aureus and 50% against E. coli and K. pneumoniae . In contrast, citrus and anise honeys showed lower bactericidal activity, with MBC values reaching 75% (v/v) for E. coli and K. pneumoniae , and 50% for S. aureus . In silico, analyses showed that kaempferol, quercetin, catechin, and myricetin exhibit high binding affinities (up to −8.3 kcal/mol) against major bacterial targets. Molecular dynamics confirmed the stability of the quercetin‐GyrB complex (RMSD ~0.35 nm). ADMET and toxicity profiles identified catechin and 3‐hydroxybenzoic acid as the most promising candidates, combining good intestinal absorption, low predicted toxicity (LD50≈10,000 mg/kg), and favorable pharmacokinetics. These findings confirm the important role of honey's phenolic compounds in inhibiting multidrug‐resistant bacteria. Future research should focus on in vivo validation and the formulation of effective therapeutic products based on these honeys.
