The simple method of commutation torque ripple reduction in the high-speed (10000 rpm) brushless DC motor is presented in this paper. In this method hysteresis controllers of motor currents are used. The goal of work was to develop a control algorithm that could be implemented in the popular and cheap STM32 family of microcontrollers (ST Microelectronics). High-speed brushless DC motors are used in professional power tools, as an alternative to universal motors. This is the intended use for this motor.

This paper presents a novel method of waveform generation in a single-sheet tester (SST) for measuring core losses and permeability in a steel sheet. Some improvements and modifications of the apparatus are also described. The improved way of working of a SST is important, especially in the extended range of polarization (up to 1.9 T). The system consists of hardware and software. Everything together was tested and has given good results. The proposed algorithm is described and compared to previously known methods.
A new method of detecting insulation faults in cores of AC machines is outlined. The method involves the measurements of the magnetic field near the surface of the core, using a number of parallel electronic field meters. It is demonstrated that the new method does not share the disadvantages of other methods as it does not require a high current source and long operation time compared with the thermal method. Besides, it offers a better resolution than the ELCID method. A dedicated computer program is used to measure and visualize results, which can be displayed in the form similar to those obtained from a thermal camera. The method is applicable both to synchronous generators and induction machines.
The paper describes possibilities of automatic identification of Enterococcus faecalis, Candida albicans, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Saccharomyces cerevisiae cell counts in suspension using a computer program written in Python environment. The software was validated in terms of accuracy of detection of abundance when confronted with traditional counting. The limits of repeatability, reproducibility and expanded uncertainty of measurement were determined for a confidence level of 95%. The software was found to count cells in suspension from images taken under a microscope at 400 times magnification for Candida albicans and Saccharomyces cerevisiae and 1000 times for Enterococcus faecalis and Pseudomonas aeruginosa with an accuracy of 15%.
