The study objective was to examine the psychological impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the performance of healthcare employees. The study was informed by a theoretical framework that incorporates different psychological issues (i.e., stress, depression, and anxiety) that influence healthcare workers’ performance through the mediating roles of job burnout and mental health. The study data was gathered through structured questionnaires from 669 participants working in the healthcare sector in Pakistan. A structured equation modeling (SEM) technique was used for data analysis and hypothesis development. It was found that stress, depression, and anxiety positively affected healthcare employees’ job performance during COVID-19. Psychological factors had a positive and significant impact on job burnout and mental health. Job burnout and mental health mediated the relationship between stress, anxiety, depression, and employee performance. The ongoing repercussions of COVID-19 include their impact on employee performance in the healthcare sector. Healthcare worker performance is critical to fostering industrial economic growth. Elevated levels of stress, depression, and anxiety have profoundly exacerbated employee mental health issues. COVID-19 has created challenging working conditions in organizations requiring that they address the growing psychological issues which impact negatively on worker performance.
Since the beginning of the 21st century, agility and sustainability have played a significant role in the global manufacturing industry. The manufacturing paradigm leaning toward green procurement and organizational agility has crossed all levels of sustainability by colossally influencing the firms’ sustainable practices, innovation capacity, and eco-friendly procurements. Integrating sustainable practices in manufacturing is a complex task that demands that global economies conduct comprehensive research on the factors influencing the firms’ sustainable practices. Therefore, the study considers empirical research between organizational agility and sustainable manufacturing practices. The data was collected from 461 respondents working in the manufacturing sector by applying a convenience sampling technique. We utilized structural equation modeling (SEM) for direct and indirect hypothesis testing. The study results revealed that operational, customer, and partnering agility significantly and positively impact sustainable manufacturing practices and green procurement. Green procurement mediates the relationship between operational, customer, partnering agility and sustainable manufacturing practices. The study results showed a significant moderating role of big data between green procurement and sustainable manufacturing practices. The study findings are helpful to managers and policymakers.

With the COVID-19 pandemic, the importance of online learning for students and teachers in schools across the country has become more crucial than ever. Blended learning, combining online and offline learning, has gradually developed into a new normal mode in primary and secondary schools. However, the factors influencing the acceptance behavior of secondary vocational school students have been inadequately investigated and have failed to address if secondary vocational students are willing to accept this learning model. This study aimed to analyze the influential factors and measure the behavioral acceptance of blended learning. This study adopted the modified model of the unified theory of acceptance use of technology (UTAUT) to understand the behavioral acceptance of blended learning from secondary vocational school students. Multiple-item scales were established, based on validated previous measurement scales and adjusted following the characteristics of secondary vocational school students. Data from 240 valid samples were analyzed statistically, applying the partial least square structural equation modelling. The results indicated that the acceptance intention was positively influenced by students’ perceptions of social influence, facilitating conditions, perceived joyfulness, self-learning management and self-efficacy. Meanwhile, performance expectancy and effort expectation were insignificant. Personal characteristics, such as gender, grade, voluntariness and experience, insignificantly adjusted the influence of all factors on the acceptance of blended learning. The conclusion of this study can provide some theoretical support and practical guidance for the improvement of blended learning quality in secondary vocational schools. The results indicated that students’ perceptions of SI, FC, PJ, SM, and SE could positively anticipate the UA to accept blended learning, having a relatively strong influence from SE and PJ.
Based on the theoretical framework of systems thinking, this study investigates the mechanism of systems thinking in promoting entrepreneurial persistence among technology entrepreneurs in China’s digital economy development. From a dynamic complex systems perspective, 409 technology entrepreneurs from China, were measured using the systems thinking scale, the psychological ownership scale, the resource bricolage scale, and the entrepreneurial persistence scale. Systems thinking among technology entrepreneurs has been found to enhance entrepreneurial persistence significantly. Psychological ownership of technology entrepreneurs partially mediates the process of systems thinking influencing entrepreneurial persistence. Resource bricolage positively moderates the systems thinking process, influencing entrepreneurial persistence among technology entrepreneurs. This study innovatively introduces systems thinking into the field of technology entrepreneurship, reveals the relationship between systems thinking and entrepreneurial persistence of technology entrepreneurs, and provides theoretical guidance for Chinese technology entrepreneurs to enhance entrepreneurial persistence through systems thinking.
