Prof. Dr. Brindusa Mihaela Sluser

Brindusa Mihaela Sluser is Associate Professor at Technical University of IASI, Romania, Deputy Director of Environmental Engineering and Management Department, and has the main expertise in the field of environmental impact and risk assessment. She has the Ph.D. title since 2005 in Chemical Engineering with environmental applications, and the habilitation title in Environmental Engineering domain, since 2020. She has developed a new integrated method, internationally recognized, to assess the negative effects, impacts and associated risks induced on environmental quality by industrial and anthropogenic activities. She published 16 books and chapters (in Romanian and English) and 82 scientific papers, from which 54 scientific papers are published in ISI ranked Journals (2 under evaluation) or BDI. Her scientific international visibility on Scopus database is given by the Hirsch index that is 15. She was/is involved in over 68 national/international grants, and has benefit of great international experience at prestigious universities from Europe (e.g. Technical University of Hargurg, Hamburg Germany) and USA (State University of New York at Buffalo and Colorado State University). She worked as national environmental expert, currently she is the member of National Committee for Environmental Experts Certification - under the jurisdiction of the Ministry for Environment, president or board member of several Romanians NGOs, and member of American Industrial Hygiene Association.
