Xinggao Li is a Professor at the School of Civil Engineering, Beijing Jiaotong University. He received his Master’s from Shandong University of Science and Technology in 2000 and completed his Ph.D. and Postdoctoral research at Beijing Jiaotong University in 2004 and 2006, respectively. He was also a Visiting Scholar at Waseda University in 2012. He was awarded the 2023 first prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award of the China Communications and Transportation of Association, the 2023 first prize of the Science and Technology Award of the Beijing Hydraulic Engineering Society, and the 2012 and 2018 second prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award of the Ministry of Education. His main research areas include tunneling and underground engineering; civil engineering; civil engineering and hydraulics; and transportation infrastructure.
