Dr. Sufyan Garoushi joined the University of Turku in 2004 as a PhD candidate in the Department of Prosthetic Dentistry and Biomaterials Science. He completed his PhD in 2006 and post-doctoral research
fellowship in 2008. In 2011, he received his Docentship in Dental Biomaterials from the Department of Biomaterials Science. He is now involved in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate dental programs. He is also involved in conducting research at the Turku Clinical Biomaterials Centre (TCBC) with the goal of optimizing, reinforcing, and developing new restorative dental materials. His skills and areas of expertise include composite resins, fractures, restorative dentistry, dental materials, aesthetic dentistry, dental education, composites, solid-state physics, and materials testing.
