Prof. Dr. QIcan Zhang

Qican Zhang received his Master of Science and Doctor of Engineering degrees from Sichuan University in 2001 and 2005, respectively. He has taught at Sichuan University since July 1996 and has served as an Assistant Laboratory Technician, Lecturer, and Associate Professor. He was promoted to professor in June 2011. In 2013, he was selected as a doctoral supervisor of optical engineering. Since April 2011, he has been the Director of the Information Optics Teaching and Research Section of the Department of Optoelectronic Technology. Since September 2017, he has served as the Vice Dean of the School of Electronic Information. During this period, he was invited to the Finnish National Technical Research Center (Valtion Teknillinen Tutkimuskeskus/VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland) as an Invited Visiting Senior Scientist twice from February to May and from September to November 2011 for cooperative research and exchanges. From August 2012 to February 2013, he was a visiting research professor at the School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering (MAE) of Nanyang Technological University (NTU, Singapore) for a six-month exchange.
